Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains who you're paying, how cancellations work, and what is and isn't refundable for Clypp subscriptions. It should be read alongside our Terms of Use.

01

Who You're Paying

When you subscribe to Clypp, your payment is processed by Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, or Dodo Payments — whichever is configured for your account — acting as the merchant of record for the transaction. Your receipt, invoice, and any saved payment-method details are handled entirely by them; we never see or store your card number.

02

Free Trial

New accounts start on a free trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and is billed per your selected plan.

03

Cancelling

  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings — no fees, no notice period.
  • Your plan stays active through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
  • We don't prorate or refund the unused portion of that period.
  • Your data isn't deleted when a subscription lapses — see our Privacy Policy for how long we keep it.
04

Refunds

All subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law — this is stated in our Terms of Use and applies from your first charge. That's a stricter stance than some SaaS products take; we'd rather be upfront about it than bury a "no" in the fine print.

05

What's Not Refunded

  • Not using the product during a billing period you were charged for.
  • AI-generated summaries, tags, and suggestions that turn out imperfect — these are a best-effort aid, not a guarantee, and imperfect output is expected behavior, not a defect.
  • Downgrading or switching plans partway through a cycle — the change takes effect at your next renewal, not retroactively.
06

Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged in error — a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or a charge after cancellation — email billing@clypp.io with your account email and the transaction date. We investigate and correct genuine billing errors in full.

07

Price Changes

If we change subscription pricing, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before it applies to your account, per our Terms of Use. Price changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

08

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — we can typically resolve billing issues faster directly. Accounts with an open chargeback may be suspended while it is investigated.

09

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice in the product.
